Wok for Health is a pioneering initiative tailored for young individuals aged 12 to 25 from Chinese backgrounds, aiming to nurture their culinary skills, promote healthy eating habits, and encourage active lifestyles. This mission is especially poignant given the heightened prevalence of diabetes (25%) and physical inactivity (45%) among Chinese Australian adults.
From the outset, LC Creative assumed the role of stewarding Wok for Health’s brand identity, meticulously crafting a visual language that embodies their commitment to instilling lifelong wellness practices. The creation of their brand mark drew influence from Chinese character-style writing, breaking ‘Wok for Health’ into four symbols set against a red background. Red, symbolising auspiciousness in Chinese culture, represents life-generating energy such as the sun, blood, and fire, and is associated with celebrations and prosperity. This initiative was developed in collaboration with CASS Care and the Sydney Local Health District.
Through strategic design and collaborative partnership, LC Creative continues to champion Wok for Health’s mission, empowering young people to embark on a journey towards holistic health and well-being.
